The user experience must be addressed throughout the whole process while creating/designing your website. This is particularly true in design since a poorly designed website may leave users irritated and less inclined to return.

Contents
#1. No more than three fonts should be used.#2. Choose the right colours.#3. Ensure proper white space.#4. Learn how to use a grid system.#5. Content hierarchies should be used.#6. The more straightforward the navigation, the better.

That’s why before hiring a web design agency Long Island, make sure they follow these practices by looking at some of their previous work.

#1. No more than three fonts should be used.

The more typefaces you use on a website, the more cluttered it will seem. It’s totally acceptable if your brand rules require you to use just one typeface. Make a point of using a different font for your headers, body text, and one additional element (either your logo or calls-to-action). Simply ensure that the font is readable and at a reasonable size (the sweet spot is 14-16 px).

#2. Choose the right colours.

Your website’s colour scheme should be consistent. Don’t use a slew of various hues; instead, choose a colour scheme. Also, try to keep all main call-to-action buttons the same colour (making this colour stand out on the website) so that visitors can easily distinguish between them.

If your logo has the main colour, use an online tool to choose two or three complementary hues. Coolors is an excellent resource for finding the finest complementary colours for your website.

#3. Ensure proper white space.

Don’t attempt to cram anything into every pixel of your pages; instead, enjoy the empty space. You may attract your visitors’ attention to sections on your website that you want them to concentrate on by leaving white space. It also makes your site appear cleaner and uncluttered, which is essential for good design.

#4. Learn how to use a grid system.

Today’s standard for website design is responsive wordpress web design. Every text block and button on a tidy website should precisely be aligned. This is where a grid system comes into play; although this is a more “intermediate” suggestion, it will significantly impact the appearance of your website. You will not be able to build a responsive website without knowing how to utilize a grid system.

#5. Content hierarchies should be used.

A website with a lot of content may cause visitors to hit the back button on their browsers. Use subhead hierarchies with brief body text to follow for your blog articles or any pages that will contain a list (i.e., your products/services page) (hey, that’s sort of like this post). This will break up the content and make it simpler for visitors to read and scan.

#6. The more straightforward the navigation, the better.

Keep your navigation basic and visible on every page to make it easy for your visitors to navigate your site. Make your logo clickable to the homepage and include it in your navigation.

Designing your website from the perspective of your audience/visitors is a wise step in website planning. Consider how they would want to view your website and what features they would like to see. Your website will automatically become a well-designed website if you can try to build it following the suggestions above along with the user experience.
